Yoga at Friedman Park
GOALS OF THIS PROGRAM:
Connect the people of Warrick County to nature by practicing Yoga outdoors.
Help build a feeling of community.
Promote Health and Wellness to the citizens of Warrick County.
Introduce Yoga to a wider audience than those with Studio or Gym Memberships.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOGA?
Develop body awareness
Manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement
Build concentration and focus
Increase confidence and positive self-image
Increase strength, flexibility, and balance
Feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group
WHAT TYPES OF CLASSES ARE OFFERED?
Classes will be All-Levels classes open to the public. Most classes will be intended for adults, however children 12 years and up may accompany parents. Classes for Children and Families will be offered as special weekend events, and will be advertised as such. Since the instructor, does hold an Indiana Teaching license and a Children’s Yoga Teaching Certificate the opportunity for youth programs may come about as the program evolves.
Each class is a suggested donation of $5-10/ participant for instructor time and travel.

Amphitheater - Top Level OR other Flat Surface of Choice
*Look for the signs for “Yoga in the Park”
No online pre-registration is necessary (drop-ins welcome).
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to sign a liability waiver and place your mat.
We will be outside! Bring your mat (or beach towel), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, and outdoor accessories.
Public Restrooms are available for use.
